Namibia Fishing Safari

This is real African fishing –safari par excellence. Experience the mighty Atlantic with whitefish (Kabeljou), several sharks and other ocean-fish off the Namibian Coast. Fly to north and spend days houseboating and fishing on Zambezi –river. Tigerfish, different breams and catfish wait for you, while hippos and crocodiles add to the excitement. End your trip by witnessing the might of Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Day 1

Arrival in Namibia and flight to Walvis Bay on the Atlantic Ocean. Road transfer to pleasant town of Swakopmund. Welcome –dinner and accommodation at Hotel Rapmund. (dinner)

Day 2

Early morning start for full day of fishing by ski-boat. We aim for ie. Kabeljou, Spotted Gulley shark and several other types of large ocean-fish. Our professional guides will introduce to local conditions and most profitable fishing-techniques. Lunch on the boat. Afternoon of fishing followed by dinner at the hotel. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 3

We depart for the premier fishing-site on the Namibian coast, Henties Bay. We try the famous Namibian shore-fishing, hunting for ie. Whitefish, Bronze Whaler shark and others. The dunes along this unique coast provide a fantastic background for our fishing-exploits. Afternoon return to Swakopmund and dinner. Town is safe to have an evening stroll around and perhaps visit some of the traditional German brauereis in town. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 4

We travel by road through the Namibian desert to the capital Windhoek. From there we take a domestic flight north to Katima Mulilo. Transfer to Shamwari House Boat, our base on mighty Zambezi, one the largest rivers in Africa. (breakfast, dinner)

Day 5-7

Three full days of fishing & game-viewing on this magnificent waterway. Hippos, crocodiles and wildlife on the banks provide a beautiful African backdrop to our fishing. Tigerfish, one of the fiercest sports-fish in the world is our main target but also numerous catfish, bream and African pike abound. Once again our professional guides ensure as the maximum catch. Beautiful Zambezi sunset will accompany us every evening. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 8

After breakfast road-transfer to Zambian side and to town of Livingstone. We visit Victoria Falls, one of the most unique natural wonders in the world. Almost two kms wide and over hundred meters down, the constant roar of the Falls are a sight to behold. Overnight at the pleasant Maramba River Lodge, on the dinner we can recall the fantastic experiences we have had on this African fishing expedition. (breakfast, dinner)

Day 9

Transfer to the Airport for homeward journey. (breakfast)
